For the first time in the history of Mass Communication in Angeles University Foundation, we, the AB Mass Communication 3 had produced a colloquium entitled SAMASkolloquiuM “ A PEEK INTO THE FUTURE”. Through this colloquium, we had gained knowledge, which is related for our future in our chosen field from our speakers who were Mass Communication graduates. The speakers shared their own experiences while taking Mass Communication course and their life after their graduation. All of the speakers had a common flow of discussion, upon sharing their thoughts and experiences, they concentrated on the fact that, as Mass Communication students, we should not just focus on the four corners or fields of Mass Communication.
We must grab every opportunity to improve what we know and what we have. Explore our capabilities, because this will really help us discover our strengths and to further develop our weaknesses, as one of the speakers said, “Learning is a continuous process”. Learning doesn’t stop because we must learn from experiences. I’ve learned that, in our field, we must be flexible but at the same time always be in ourselves. We must stay humble in achieving our goals. We don’t need to impress just to prove ourselves. I’m pretty much sure that each one of us had learned a lot of things that will surely help us for our future. And it’s not always about the money, it’s about the fulfillment of being dedicated in our chosen career.
SAMASkolloquiuM offered something helpful for all of the students involved, because of meaningful discussions about experiences in our field and other related issues. It’s a great learning experience.
In all aspects the event was good. All of our audiences were really listening attentively from our speakers but the only reason, which made some of them to just leave the event, was the power interruption. But we understand, coz it’s really not comfortable listening while fanning and hearing some noise from the outside. But overall, it’s a job well done.
I’m hoping that this won’t be the last SAMASkolloquiuM, it’s fun learning important things that will benefit our FUTURE.MC3, WE DID GREAT!!! Ma'am, thanks for the support!
